Founded in 1993, this association of craftsman has rigorously selected companies working in the great tradition of high craftsmanship in the fields of art, decorative art and art de vivre.
The companies are recognised by their peers and also by professionals, connoisseurs and collectors throughout the world. Operating as a circle of high-end quality craftsmanship, “Les Grands Ateliers de France” represents a network of excellence where people and art become one and the same.
Since 1803, draughtsmen, engravers, embroiderers, enamellers, silversmiths, jewellers, stone setters... each Arthus-Bertrand collection calls on the talents of men and women who excel in their skills. Each plies his or her trade with the aim of passing on their passion and know-how to the young generations. But while electronics and robotics now play a hand in the manufacturing process, only a human being can carry out certain operations, such as engraving, enamelling or polishing.
