Présentation
Born in 1945, Bernard de Souzy is a cosmopolitan and complete artist. Initially animalist sculptor after his long stays in Africa, it quickly points out himself by his busts of personalities (Bill Clinton, Jacques Chirac, the Bigeard General…) and especially by a bronze in the real face of Gerard Depardieu entirely naked.
In 1997, he is third French with being allowed with the Academy of the Art and the Letters of Russia. It turns then to painting and conceives its project gradually to paint all the century by its portraits of personalities. Beyond physical appearance, Bernard de Souzy seeks to transcribe “the heart” of his subject. It then invents what it calls the Subjectivism, an at the same time realistic and evocative painting.
